AmeriCorps provides people-power. AmeriCorps programs funded through our office recruit a team of AmeriCorps members to provide direct service to build or improve communities and generate volunteers to support their efforts. Educational institutions (local school districts, intermediate school districts, colleges, universities, etc.), local government entities, state agencies, federally recognized tribes, and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for an AmeriCorps program. Learn more about current funding opportunities here.
Serve Colorado offers two types of funding competitions:
- Planning Grants: Planning grants provide funding to help organizations develop new AmeriCorps programs to address community challenges. Planning grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis and funding decisions are made approximately every three months.
- Operational Grants: Operational grants provide funding for organizations who are ready to implement a full AmeriCorps program. Operational grant competitions take place in the fall and spring.
