AmeriCorps in Colorado
AmeriCorps is a federal agency inspiring Americans to serve their communities and country. In partnership with state service commissions like Serve Colorado, AmeriCorps provides funding to local and national organizations committed to addressing critical community needs across six key areas: disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and support for veterans and military families.
Through AmeriCorps, thousands of individuals from diverse backgrounds engage in meaningful full- and part-time service opportunities. Colorado participants, known as members, dedicate their time to making a difference while receiving a modest living allowance and an educational award upon completion of their service. Members work alongside nonprofits, public agencies, and community organizations to tackle pressing social challenges in Colorado.
